Establish Individual(k)™ Plan Document
with Recordkeeping Services
New in 2025!
Establishing a retirement plan should be intuitive,
efficient, and tailored to your needs. That’s why we’re introducing a new
digital onboarding experience—designed to simplify and streamline the
process.
For new plan sales, paper forms will no longer be
accepted after August 31, 2025.
An Individual(k) plan is designed for sole proprietors
with no employees, or for owners and their spouses, offering elective deferrals
and/or profit sharing contributions.
With recordkeeping service, Ascensus will provide plan
document support and maintenance for your Individual(k) plan. As necessary,
Ascensus will provide your plan with applicable IRS required amendments and
restate your plan document as needed. In addition to the plan document
services, Ascensus will also provide recordkeeping services for your Individual(k) plan that will include annual statements and tax form preparation.
The
investment account(s) (opened post-August 2025) must be set up as Participant
accounts and have the Third-Party Provider field set as 'Ascensus'
for each participant at Pershing for plans with recordkeeping services.
No change is required for the existing accounts. Roth Elective Deferrals should be held in a separate account to accurately reflect any net gain or loss. The investment account number(s) will be required to complete the plan-setup process.
Additional account fees will apply for more than one investment account per participant.
